    i know i’m really late but how could i do this with elastic thread? is it the same thing? i’m just worried about how to end it

    • @UnitedArtAndEd
      @UnitedArtAndEd Місяць тому

      With elastic bracelets, you would probably just want to tie the beginning and ends together, and not worry about making the bead/loop clasp.

    hi just wondering if theres a way to grow these crystals without immersing the entire object in solution.. Becase u want to try it on bigger objects like dried plants which are much bigger .. is it possible to paintbrush on alum solution and crystals grow?

    • @UnitedArtAndEd
      @UnitedArtAndEd 3 місяці тому

      It's doubtful that this will work, as the solution really needs to sit very still while the liquid evaporates and crystals are forming.

    You address the g. But I'm trying to understand the hardness and softness of the wire, in order that I can buy what I need.

    • @UnitedArtAndEd
      @UnitedArtAndEd 5 місяців тому

      All of the wires we've shown here (and offer on our website www.unitednow.com/art/ceramics-sculpture/sculpture/sculpture-wire) are soft temper. For this project, it's just important to create the initial armature with the smaller gauge and use highest gauge (thinnest) for the detailed wrapping.

      The initial drawing is done in brown crayon, before coloring it in with the oil pastels.

    your demo is really dumb. you mixed one color and never explained if all the colors have to be mixed with glue and water first, or straight color will do. i watched it and i get headache. I hope you dont teach students so poorly like how u demonstrate.

    I’d note that matching pipe cleaner and yarn is important if you want the rim to look good. My green pipe cleaner is showing through the purple yarn at the top. 😢 It was the step that didn’t work well otherwise liked the process.
